Created using a two-hundred-year-old artisanal process with absolutely no added water, preservatives. The very freshest black anchovy is sourced from the crystal clear waters off the sea of Viet Nam, then salted with pure sea salt just moments after the catch. The salted fish is slowly fermented in traditional barrels for upto 2 years. Le Gia fish sauce is the ‘extra-virgin’ first pressing of the fermented fish.

Fish used in Le Gia products are the freshest anchovy caught off the coast of Vietnam. We source the first fish harvest in the early morning when the temperature is still considerably low so that the fish freshness is still not ruined.

Those anchovy will be brought to the fish sauce factories for being fermented in closed barrels with even more salt. This fermenting process can take up to 24 months so as to have the most delicious favor of first-pressed fish.
